Starwars Battlefront – Renegade Squadron
FORMAT: Playstation Portable
PEGI AGE RATING: 12+
The first two installations for this game have been a great success however has not lined up to games such as Call of Duty and Halo(however those who played the games seems to agree that it is a game worth playing and is just as good) , the games so far had only been on Playstation 2 format, but instead of being involved with the next gen wars it seems to have moved to the PSP system one major issue by doing this is now the two player (spilt screen), were if you and your mate don’t buy a PSP you can only play on the web with random people.
The game itself is more alone the bases of the other 2 games a third person shooter, but with more characters and actions and is said to be the most powerful game yet on a UMD’s which is a new form of disc designed purely for the PSP. But IGN which is a major games review have given it a 7.9 in rating however they is many mixed feelings about it due to the graphics and storyline as it is meant to be the untold story of the movie which is all those on the frontline of the battle which is often over looked by the major scenes of the Jedi’s however with bonuses you can become one, often for only a short period

Resistance 2
Its PEGI rating is an 18+
Format: Playstation3
The first Resistance was an amazing hit for the next gen systems being the best seller, with the setting of an alternate history with the Russians in 1951, were a top secret military project went horrible wrong and beast called Chimera wanting to invade everything, however Britain felt they were safe from the Chimera as we are a island and we are cut off from Europe however they were wrong.
In the second game in the series they are wanting to take back Europe after the success in fighting back in the UK, however will the main character be able to fight and will he stay human, however it turns out that he isn’t the only one to survive the Chimera virus giving him his special abilities, the game reviews so far say its better then the amazing Halo and bigger than call of duty 4 which is an amazing status in the gaming world.
The game genre hasn’t changed it is still a first person shooter, but it is still only for the PS3 which is a major + as many people including me hate when you like a game and then a second comes on another format, however they is another version for the PSP, the resolution is 720P again like the first.
The game reviews for this all have been around 9/10 for example IGN.com

Sonic Unleashed

History
Sonic games in recent years has taken a lot of criticism from old fans who adore the Archie comics and the original TV series, they say its lost its charm, attitude and even chilidogs, while graphics have grown and features evolved the charm has also been lost on the gaming as well were the Japan exceed, this led to one major mistake during translation the words Robotnik and Eggman got switched, however now Sega has kept this but many people criticize this and many people argue that the original is still the best, but is it starting to come back with sonic unleashed?

This is a major improvement on the 3D sonic games however many will argue is it really better than the 2D, the basic storyline is about eggman wanting to use a powerful beast power to build his wacky eggman land – which can easily be moved to the old fashion sonic, hence why I like it more.
The characters can be weird in sonic games however since the late 90’s, they seem to have stuck with mainly new characters, but then again you cant bring in to many because its too complex, this is one reason why people cant stand sonic as they always make new characters in this they added two main characters which is certainly a breath of fresh air, with perky and a bit of attitude, and a good angle with food.
The movement has improved, were most 3D sonic games are said to have to much they seemed to have brought it down a level, but the effects are amazing, because its in HD the graphics are beyond amazing you can even see reflections and use of shaders, shaders is a new form of shadowing were they tell the system were the light sources are in the games so it makes a suitable shadow, however the only issue is audio in SD, this is a issue with games at a 1080p and were you send them back to SD.
Another point is if you don’t like the background music you can add your own to the game this is a new ps3 feature this doesn’t just go for sonic this is for mainly.
